RGK Testimonials

We would just like to take some time to say thank you to all the individuals that have taken the time to write or corresponded with us on their RGK experience. I am a fairly humble man that doesn't look for a lot of praise in what we do but I do enjoy hearing that we've made an owner truly happy whether it is a new pup or training of an older dog. RGK is committed to providing the best quality training and companion foot hunting Shorthairs on the east coast

I bought a gsp female from RGK 18 months ago and she does it all. I named her JASMINE but we all call her JAZZ. and everyone that hunts with her remembers her posing for photos on top of her dog box with a bird in her mouth. THANX.

Scott,
I just wanted to say thanks again for everything. Dottie, now "RGK's Million Dollar Lady" (Milli) is doing great. She spent the weekend sleeping on my lap watching football. She is absolutely beautiful and as smart as they come. I took her to a friend of mine who also trains pointers as a side hobby and he couldn't stop talking about her natural talent. I look forward to sending you pictures and updates in the near future if you would like. My wife and I are anxiously looking forward to getting another RGK GSP from Buddy and Izzy's litter next year. With those bloodlines and raw talent they will make for an unbeatable pair tearing up the Nebraska corn fields next fall. Thanks again and if you need or want to use me as a referral I am more than happy to talk about your knowledge, professionalism and great pups. Thanks,

Josh

I just wanted to send you a few pictures of "Creek" & to let you know how much Marcus & I are enjoying him. He is such a sweet boy! He has to be close to us at all times. He loves to cuddle up every chance he gets. He's also loving my brother's & my dog who live next door at our parents (golden retriever & black lab). He & the golden are best friends. He can be stubborn at times but he minds & listens very well. He's been to work with both of us & visited tons of people & other pets. Everyone who has seen him just thinks he is the cutest puppy they have ever seen. We hope all the other puppies are doing well either with you ar at their new homes. Thanks again for the wonderful new addition to the family.

Take Care!

Thank you so much for the time you spent with us yesterday. David is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with you in the near future with his RGK GSP. We can't wait to bring home our newest family member & introduce him to the rest of our folks. David named the puppy ' Cash '...he is still working on the AKC name.

Again, thank you for a fanastic evening, watching Patches show her talent, & for letting us purchase that beautiful puppy. We are all so excited !

I bought a male gsp out of your last litter named Duke. He was the camo collar one. He is growing and progressing fine. His training is going very well and I want to thank you for what I know will turn out to be a fine bird dog.

As most trainers and bird dog enthusiasts will tell you," to develop and train a great bird dog you must first start off with a pup from a great pair of working parents(sire and dam). That is exactly what Rusty Gun Kennel provided me with. I was very fortunate to have met Scott, the owner of RGK, at a local hunting and firearms show and it was quite apparent then that Scott is very passionate about the German Shorthair Pointer breed and very passionate that his pups develop into "versatile" hunting dogs. He made time for my family and I to come see the pups and actually took us out to the field to let us watch the pups work on a pair of chukar. I knew right then that these pups were all about hunting, being with people and all about pleasing. Scott not only breeds well rounded pups but he also knows how to train them. He is all about training the owner and the dog at the same time, allowing the dog to build upon his natural abilities and then honing those abilities. In my case the dog definitely outshines the owner. My family just loves our GSP and he is definitely part of the family. He goes with me where ever I go. If you are looking for a new hunting partner who aims to please,is great with people and other dogs and has the natural hunting abilities, I highly recommend that you talk to Scott. You won't be disappointed. If you would like to ask me any questions at all about my experiences with Scott and Rusty Gun Kennels you are more than welcome to contact me at 910-619-7958 and no Scott did not ask me to do this, I am doing this because of the great experience I have had and am having....
